Here’s a little more about me. I love living in Colorado, we have such wonderful weather and so much sun! I love running half marathons, marathons, and hiking in the summer. I love to snow ski and snowshoe in the winter, and I recently took up scuba diving for more active beach vacations. I am active in yoga, Pilates, and continue to take Ballet classes for fun. I love traveling, reading, baking, and visiting my family as much as possible.
I am an advocate for all animals, and I really love dogs! I have been blessed to have had 3 beautiful labs: Bailey (yellow), Mabel (chocolate) and Lu (black) all that brought so much joy and love into my life. They have since passed on and my current love is a little boxer/pitbull mix named Bruce. See photo of my goofball!
Life without a dog is like a day without love or sunshine for me. After Bailey passed, I started volunteering and walking dogs at the Maxfund Animal Shelter in Denver. It was at that shelter that I met Lu and Mabel, 2 dogs that both stole my heart. Lu was a black lab/great Dane mix, about 90 pounds and thought he was a lap dog 🙂. Mabel was 12 when I adopted her and still had the cutest little personality and love for tennis balls. After they both passed, I started fostering with PawsCO and was given Bruce. Bruce must be the goofiest dog and he is such a lover. I foster failed and he’s now part of the family, you’ll frequently see him sleeping in the back office of the clinic.
I support the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), PawsCO, Denver Dumb Friends League, Best Friends Animal Society, Wild Animal Sanctuary, and several other smaller local animal charities or shelters. Trying to help as many animals as I can to have kind and loving homes.
